This beautiful penguin is hand carved for us in Bali. The artist has cleverly captured the penguin with it's head slightly inclined and the attention to detail is superb. The wood used here is hibiscus wood which has a natural two-tone effect with the darker grain being slightly green. Hibiscus is a fantastically tactile being being silky smooth to the touch. The carving has been lightly waxed to enhance the wood. A perfect gift for all penguin lovers. As with all carvings keep away from heat sources such as radiators to ensure the wood does not over dry. Please be aware that due to the nature of the wood grain all these penguins vary slightly. Your penguin is likely to be slightly different to the one in the picture but will be just as beautiful. Also available in a smaller size and as part of a money saving pair.
